Dog Wins First Place in Costume Contest With His Donald Trump Dress Up
A dog has won first place in a costume contest – by dressing like Donald Trump!
Fortunately, 18-month-old Havenese Marshall is much cuter than the real thing, even making Trump’s signature blonde quiff and over-sized suit look good.
The pupper also donned the President’s favourite red tie as he claimed the top spot in Wayne County Dog Shelter’s annual Howl-o-ween Dog Walk last Saturday.
Marshall’s dog-mom Jeanette Young says her pet looked the spitting image of the 72-year-old.
She said: “It really felt like we were with the president. Marshall was posing and parading around and everyone was giving him attention.
“They were asking for pictures like he was a real celebrity. His hair waved in the air just like Donald’s does. It was a total triumph.”

“He was the only dog with a political outfit. The other dogs were dressed as sharks and dinosaurs,” she explained.
“The pitbull who won second place was dressed as a superhero. None of them were as eye-catching as our Donald Trump.”
Jeanette says her whole family are fans of Trump, and that the costume was a loving tribute to 45.
She said: “We are absolutely supporters of Trump and it was meant to be a loving tribute. I wouldn’t dress my dog up as just anyone.”
The idea for the costume came from Jeanette’s 19-year-old daughter Lorna, who was inspired by a Trump wig she spotted online.
“I was scrolling through Amazon looking for ideas and I spotted a Donald Trump wig for dogs,” the teen said.
“I thought to myself: ‘Let’s do it, nobody else is going to dress up as Donald Trump.’”
And at just $11 for the wig and $15 for the doggy suit, the outfit was a bargain.
She said: “When I put it on, it was hilarious and I had to take the picture. When we got him to the dog show, he was taking it in his stride.”
And according to Lorna, this won’t be the last time Dogald Trump will be making an appearance.
“We will probably dress him up as Donald Trump for Halloween and let the little kids see him when they trick or treat. It’s too good an outfit to just be seen once.”
